Expeditions: Rome
Tribune Twitch Extension
About the Project:
The Expeditions: Rome Tribune extension was a key part of the streaming campaign to promote the launch of the game Expeditions: Rome. The streaming campaign included the world-class extension, custom streamer drops, and turn-based strategy/RPG creators to play the game during the beta and full game launch. Viewers were able to vote on dialogue options, send care packages to the streamer, muck with health bars, start fires that rage across the battlefield, and much more.

There were three key elements of this extension: the combat mini map, dialogue voting, and the informational panel. These elements combined created a fully-immersive experience for Twitch viewers who not only could see game information, but also directly engage with the streamer.
About the Extension
Combat Mini Map
The combat map was a standout feature that appeared during battles in-game. Viewers were able to target allies and enemies and apply status effects like full heal or disarm that turned the tide of fights. Twitch audiences loved the ability to set the combat map on fire and paid hundreds of bits to do so! Additionally, hovering over a unit on the mini map also revealed the unit's current state: name, class, health, applied status effects, and more.

Dialogue Voting
Dialogue voting let viewers vote on which choice a player made. Audiences could decide whether a streamer showed an NPC mercy or death, who they should trust, and more. Streamers had full ability to choose or reject the audience's vote. This created fantastic, clippable on-stream moments with chat often participating in a tug-of-war over choices.
Information Panel
The information panel was always displayed and let viewers learn about the game, see which quests are currently active, team roster, and care packages to assist the streamer during battles. The "Buy Now" CTA helped drive game purchases during streams.
